Entrepreneurs are not born.  They are made.  No one is born with enate skills to be an effective entrepreneur.  Effective entrepreneurs are effective because they learn from their mistakes and more importantly from other people's mistakes.  They maintain the attitude of continuously improving themselves through reading and interacting with other entrepreneurs.

No one's perfect and we've all had our share of mistakes.  One mistake I learned from was being a busy body.  In my early years of my entrepreneurial career, I confused being busy with being productive.  In my own insecurity as an entrepreneur, I kept busy thinking that it has got to be be better than being idle.  I later realized that it is counter productive to be aimlessly busy.  Sometimes it is better to take a step back, remain calm and just think about what and why I am doing something.

As a fellow entrepreneur, what are some mistakes that you've made?  Share your thoughts here.

I needed a place to meet my clients a several times a month in NYC and looked into various options like renting a part-time office or subletting an office space. I came across GCP Virtual Office service while doing some search on Google. The idea was interesting but I was skeptical at first about using a virtual office service. I felt I needed something more permanent. During my conversation with the manager, he made me realize that a virtual office can be just as permanent as any other office space. The only difference was that I do not have to pay so much for it and I am not locked into a long term lease. The fact that they do not require long term contracts won me over to give it a try. That was six years ago and I am still with them. The GCP Virtual Office turned out to be a truly wonderful solution for my needs.
